St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University has pioneered the issue of additional graduation document - European Sample Diploma Supplement. It has become available since Russia joined the European Bologna process in autumn 2003.
What is a Euro-Supplement? What advantage does it give to graduates?

Euro-Supplement is:

  • A document developed by European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES within the framework of Bologna process that is aimed at building of a common European educational space;
  • An instrument for providing sufficient independent data to improve the international 'transparency' and fair academic and professional recognition of qualifications (Diplomas and Degrees);
  • A detailed description of the contents, level and status of the studies successfully completed by the graduate including his/her individual learning trajectory with assessment grades and teaching loads in ECTS credits;
  • A source of information on the University and on the Russian Education System;
  • A Document facilitating availability of further studies and successful professional career world-wide.
